My name is Cellina and I love food. Period, right? I wish.
The thing about loving something is that usually you love what you can’t have. My lovely poisons are molds, including yeast and fungi like mushrooms, which seriously restrict my sugar intake and omit most breads from my diet. My husband, Tim, can’t have gluten from wheat, oats, rye, barley, etc. Try both having Sicilian fathers and Irish mothers with THAT kind of problem. It can’t stop me (or us), however, from searching far and wide for the best possible dishes out there.
There is wonderful food everywhere, and if you are determined to eat more than beans and ground turkey everyday for the rest of your life, you’ll find it. So whether it’s wheat, yeast, soy, eggplant (yes, eggplant) or another otherwise yummy edible giving you the nasties, follow me on my journey for the best restaurants, eateries, substitutes and recipes out there (and some God-forsaken places to avoid like the plague)!
Happy Eatin’,
